Siegfried Wagner's (1869 – 1930) opera »Rainulf und Adelasia« which came to its very first performance (concertanto) in October 2003, and his 9th opera, »Der Heidenkönig (The Heathen King)«, are both finally going to stage now. In his works the composer — Richard Wagners son and grandson of Franz Liszt — encrypted autobiographical material which will become outlined in the scenic interpretation by the director Prof. Dr. Peter P. Pachl.
The atmosphere of a courtroom builds the main constant for »Rainulf und Adelasia« in which a spectacular fire conjuration is to create in the third act. In »Der Heidenkönig« a crowd of little robots shall play a part; theyll even interact with the singers and actively participate at the drama. In preparation for this production not only some studies and sketches were made but also an anamorphoticstereoscopicanimation, which gets projected right on the floor. It was shown for the first time during the Stereoscopic Displays and Applications Conference in San Jose, California, USA, from January 17th to 19th, 2005. Some short sequences (however, of normal perspective) will be offered for download soon; if you want to keep informed, you may subscribe to our newsletter.
The draft for the poster of the latest opera project, »Der Kobold (The Goblin)« of 1903, indicates the gloomy topic of the work: Abortion and child abuse; the premiere at the Stadttheater Fuerth has taken place on November 10th, 2005.
